Dr. Sam Jejurikar is a board-certified plastic surgeon and a member of the renowned Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute in Dallas, Texas, focusing on cosmetic surgery of the face, eyes, nose, body and breast. My name is Sam Jejurikar and I'm very proud to be a member of the Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute. We're a group of ten plastic surgeons, all of whom are different, all of whom are unique, but together we have the opportunity to offer patients just an amazing facility. We've got a world class skin care center, we have operating rooms that are fully accredited, a total of four of them. We've got a hotel that allows people to recover with a nurse in a luxurious setting after surgery, and we're all really special in different ways. Some of the surgeons are world class and world famous, and as a result, we have patients come in from all across the country and all across the world." Many patients come from Dallas, a lot of patients come from all throughout Texas, and they come because when you see our facility you realize that we can offer that you may not be able to get in your home town. We've got 60,000 square feet, between the skin care center and everyone's office, and the waiting room, and the hotel, and the operating room, and unless you see it, you really can't appreciate just how wonderful of a setting it actually is. The most common procedures that I perform right now are facelifts, mommy make-overs, tummy tucks, breast lifts, breast augmentation, those are popular services that we perform on an almost daily basis. Every patient is very different and every patient has different goals. Some patients come in and they want to look more youthful. Some patients want to look completely different. Some people want to restore their body after they've had a pregnancy or they've lost a lot of weight. Other people just want to reverse the signs of aging. So, the most important thing as a plastic surgeon is to really listen to the patients and find out what they want. No two patients are the same so I try to really get to know the patient before we even talk about what the surgery is. I really like my patients. I like what i do, I think I have the greatest job in the world. I get to make a real difference in people's lives and people are happy to come to my office. It's a happy place. My staff, much like me, really start to form a deep relationship with the patients. Because they really like being here and they like the patients, they look forward to seeing the patients and talking to the patients, and a lot of times they view the patient's surgery and the recovery course as a collaborative effort. They really want to be there for the patients, they want to answer their questions, and they like seeing them when they give patients advice or they give them recommendations that when it's followed the, the patients do better. So they really do form a close relationship with the patients. I love what I do. I love getting to know my patients, I love operating, the technical satisfaction that comes from it. And then I like the differences that come because of surgery. I am blessed to have the opportunity to do this job, to make a difference in people's lives, and to get personal satisfaction out if it as well. It's an amazing feeling to be able to make a difference in someone's life. When someone comes to you with concerns about their body or their appearance, that really are psychologically debilitating, and being able to transform that into them feeling positive about their appearance and therefore improving their self esteem and even in some cases, their outlook on life, it is an amazing feeling that I have not experienced in any other aspect of my life.
